What’s the most terrifying disaster?

https://www.quora.com/profile/Desmond-Last#

It will be the one we are least prepared for.

Many people are only just beginning to realise how much of the truth about climate change and its effects has been held back by Governments.

We have been lied to and treated with deceit by our Governments. They know what is going to happen and you can bet your house on the fact that they are getting ready for the tremendous upheaval that will take place in both our physical and social environments as the Climate becomes more extreme.

You do not have to be a rocket scientist to know that the Planet is warming up and the rate of the temperature increase is going past any square that can be calculated to provide a predictable analysis of how we should cope.

Our Governments will already be mapping out their Plan B’s and it will not include many of their citizens. We will be left to manage on our own as our Governments and their chosen elite head for their bunkers – complete of course with nuclear and chemical weapons.

Ask yourselves this – Do you trust your Governments? I do not. They have lead us into Climate Change and as the Climate around the World becomes more extreme they are simply incapable of producing any real and immediate solution’s.

That is the disaster to be terrified of – the one your Governments are not telling us about.

Why do we believe in the government?

https://www.quora.com/profile/Desmond-Last

Because we want to believe that we can trust them, that our interests are shared with ours. We want to give them a respect and we want our lives to be better.

Wrong oh so wrong. They are a World apart from us. They live in Ivory Towers protected from the World and its reality.

They retire to fat pensions and guarded life-styles.

They are no longer accountable and they lie so often that they believe their own lies.

They never answer the Question.

Why do we believe in Government? Because we are too bloody busy working to pay for them to do anything other than hope that somebody else will start the revolution.

How unpopular is Theresa May?

https://www.quora.com/profile/Desmond-Last#

I do not think PM May is unpopular in that everybody knows PM May was given the most difficult Prime Minster-ship since WW2.

PM May’s policies may be disliked but as a person most I am sure would say PM May has the tenacity of Sir Winston Churchill and the bloody-mindedness of Baroness Thatcher.

I admire PM May for taking the job on and for attempting to steer through the muddy waters of Brexit without floundering on the various rocks of Johnson, Junkers and Rees-Mogg.

If they had worked with PM May instead of lurking in the shadows with daggers drawn to stab PM May in the back wherever possible then PM May might have have produced a better draft agreement.

I have no time for selfish politics and Rees-Mogg and Johnson play their egos as if they were a tune that PM May and the people of the UK have to dance to.

As for Junkers he cannot be trusted as all he wants is his name on the Federation of Europe nameplate and the U.K to be on its knees so others will not follow suit.

I am not a fan of PM May because PM May has studiously ignored all my ideas and writing for a better World – but PM May has a backbone and that is to be admired.

Many have fought and died for the World we enjoy today we should not so easily give it away.

https://www.quora.com/profile/Desmond-Last#

This is a trend by default but it is becoming more common and it is incrementally spreading throughout the World. It is the Virus Apathy.

It is not a personal fault. We all wake-up everyday to go to work – or at least the majority of us do. There in an ever competitive World we go about our work as obedient robot drones. We do not know who we work for as we are only a digit on a Multinational Bank Transfer. We are taught to sing the Company song and made to feel grateful for the fact they have given us work.

If we dare to use our brains we are shot down and made to feel an inch tall. So as good little robots we work as hard as possible in case they replace us with free trade immigrants who will work even harder for less.

When we get home we are too worn out to man the barricades and begin the revolution so we switch off to whatever drama of the day our Government is supposedly dealing with and tell ourselves it will all be better one day.

However, in the meantime we have lost our jobs, taken a pay cut and payed even more for our mortgage or rent.

We pretend Climate Change is not going to burn out homes down even though we know it probably will and we ignore the approaching Tsunami. Instead we attend the local Armageddon Party where drug dealers are the new black and the Police Station is now a Mcdonalds. This is the Trend of ‘If I ignore it it will go away and not keep me up at night’.

Unfortunately whilst we have been busty staying alive and out of Prison our Governments have stuffed up our World and will continue to do so.

So I would like Apathy to disappear forever and be replaced by ‘Government who do and not just say will do’. Many have fought and died for the World we enjoy today we should not so easily give it away.

Why is world peace so hard to attain?

https://www.quora.com/Why-is-world-peace-so-hard-to-attain/answer/Desmond-Last

Until we learn how to live without killing each other World Peace is not possible. We have democratically elected Governments in many parts of the World who are signatories to the International Convention of Human rights.

That convention does not allow children to die of starvation or from war. But they do – every day. We have also allowed crime to become too acceptable a part of our lives.

Yet our Governments appear on television and tell us how important it is that we allow all persons not to be harassed or bullied. They tell school children not to bully and harass. They tell us the People we will be arrested and go to Prison for life if we commit murder.

They (our Governments) shake hands with Government who lock up their citizens because of their ethnic group or faith, who put them in labour camps, and who shoot then without trial.

Our Governments then increase their hypocrisy by visiting those same countries and giving them AID money which allows those same Countries to arm more military and suppress their citizens rights with an even greater excess of force.

How can there ever be World Peace without adherence to the Principal of Defending the Weak and the Innocent and the Principal of respect for another human?

If I ever become the Prime Minister the United Kingdom I would close down every embassy in the UK whose Government abused human rights – and that would include China.

We must reform the U.N and use overwhelming Military Intervention to bring conflicts to an end and that means all of the Security Council not just the U.S.A the U.K and their allies.

Until we draw the red line of human rights and defend that red line we will never have World Peace.

What is one life changing lesson that nobody will teach you in college?

From Quora Q & A.

Not everybody is good. Some are Evil to the extreme.

The Evil they are able to be part of is so Evil it defies the imagination.

They will sell missiles to other Countries knowing that those missiles will shred a young child’s body into a million parts whilst her father and mother watch in silent horror as their child covers them with her gore and blood.

They will teach you democracy, human rights, Peace and God. They will not tell you what your Governments are prepared to do for money.

We begin by trusting our Governments. We give them loyalty, respect and our taxes. Some of us will die because of their Orders we are trained to obey. Then one day we watch the child screaming, the parents in grief and we learn on that day that our Governments can be Evil.
