Was it presidential for Trump to weigh in on the national anthem issue?

My answer to this Question on Quora. https://www.quora.com/profile/Desmond-Last

If I were President I would react in exactly the same way as President Trump. The flag of the United States of America is a symbol of all the Nation has endured, fought for and died for.

If you do not agree with a Government Policy or action then you should do something about it instead of making pointless and ineffective ‘look at me’ gestures.

I am the last person on this Planet to give Governments who do not answer to the needs of the people any support.

But what has not standing for the National Anthem got to do with racial injustice?

The NFL players should do something about racial injustice instead of insulting all those who died fighting to protect the Country they enjoy.

My work includes an outline of my New Perspective on Counter Terrorism. I have also written about and warned Governments on the developing threat from the use of Bio-Technologies (Brain2Computer) and Energy Weapons being used by Criminal and Terrorist Organisations. I have developed a reform of the United Nations and written a New System for Climate Change Policy and Disaster Management. My New System of Economics does not support Aid to end Third World Poverty instead it utilizes economic empowerment of Communities to do so. I seek freedom through a Bill of Rights for Creatures Gr8 & Small. Prime Minister Boris Johnson, the CIA and MI5/6 have never acknowledged my writing neither have the BBC, CCN and any Australian Media.

  1. I see it as the President weighing in on a matter of national interest and concern. That, unlike his lamentable predecessor’s uncontrollable fixation on interjecting himself into local issues, is quite presidential.
