My answer to How come there are so few Islamic terrorist attacks in the West?
Answer by Desmond Last:
There are not hundreds of thousands of people who want to die for the cause of ISIS or in fact any cause. Most of us would like to stay alive. That is why there are so few people wanting to die for ISIS, God and their cause.
That is an important fact and one that is lost on U.K Prime Minister Theresa May, Amanda Rudd the U.K Home Office Minister and the senior officers of the United Kingdom Security Services.
My own writing and new Perspective on how to counter the extreme view of the ‘Word of God’ which ISIS and to a lesser degree Al Qaeda promote has been totally ignored by them – you would have to say deliberately so.
Western Islam has no answer to the emotions that ISIS’s stir within a person. You can have as many de-radicalization programs as you want but that 60 seconds when a person decides he or she is no longer part of the wider community can never be reversed. That as why as I keep patiently explaining in my communications to the U.K Government and Security Service a new Perspective is needed – I have never even received an acknowledgment.
Right now in the United Kingdom somewhere there is a person who is angry and frustrated. They have no intention of killing their fellow citizens in the U.K. If my work was available for them to read it is possible that anger could be channeled into a productive and legal form of change – which is what they want.
Within sixty seconds they will read a phrase in the ‘Words of God’ adapted for the use of ISIS. At the same time they will see a child blown apart legs hanging off in Yemen, Afghanistan, Syria or even a child dying of hunger in Africa.
There is nothing for them to read or do to stop that angry release of emotion. In that sixty seconds they have decided to die. With their death their allegiance to ISIS and their ‘World of God’ somewhere in the U.K in the next few months children men and women will lay dying and dead from their suicide bomb.
As I have stated not many people want to blow themselves up. Therefore the need for new writing to counter ISIS’s words is urgent. There are other possibilities that can come from such new writing but those are best left for the Security Services to evolve.
Theresa May and Amanda Rudd have a lot to answer for. They have deliberately ignored the possibility of reducing the terror threat to the citizens of the U.K.
When the lives of your citizens are under threat you do not ignore all possible means of reducing that threat.
