My answer to Who is behind today's massive blast in Kabul, Afghanistan?
Answer by Desmond Last:
The Taliban have made a statement on their website. It states that they are not to blame. They say this…….
“A huge explosion by a car bomb took place earlier today in Kabul city, killing and wounding hundreds with the target of attack also remaining unknown.
This explosion has nothing to do with the Mujahideen of Islamic Emirate. Our Mujahideen are not involved in this incident and neither are the Mujahideen allowed to carry out such a large explosions at ill-defined areas.
Who has carried out this attack and for what purpose shall become clear at a later stage however the Islamic Emirate condemns every explosion and attack carried out against civilians, or in which civilians are harmed and has no legitimate target.
Our countrymen must rest assured that the Kabul attack is not the work of Mujahideen”.

The Taliban are fighting ISIS. We need a new Policy for Afghanistan. Sending in more troops to defeat the Taliban who now control 40 per cent of the Country is not the answer. With 40 per cent of Afghanistan under Taliban control they cannot afford to kill civilians whom they intend to represent.
