Why haven’t there been any leading British politicians willing to take a strong stand against Brexit?

My answer to Why haven't there been any leading British politicians willing to take a strong stand against Brexit?

Answer by Desmond Last:

In my opinion it is because the United Kingdom does not have any ‘leading British Politicians.

Therese May is only Prime Minister by default. The people of the United Kingdom never voted for her and they never gave her a mandate to ignore common sense. We had the ‘Ace’ until this afternoon when we handed in the letter to Donald Tusk confirming Article 50.

Theresa May had the opportunity to give the Remain’s and the Brexiters what they wanted.

On the table from the E.U were five reform proposals. Which included the principle of Free movement. We could have lead the Reform negotiations with the ‘Ace of Brexit’ up our sleeve.

Should Marine Le Pen become President of France then our Reform proposals would have had even greater weight. May should have at least waited for the outcome of the French Presidential election before triggering Article 50.

White paper on the future of Europe

It does not matter how narrow or improbable the proposal’s are the point is that the door was opened for E.U reform.

May turned her back on democracy today and on the young people of the United Kingdom whose future she has just diminished. May should have put the reform proposal to Parliament and the People.

Not one M.P including the Leader of the Opposition Jeremy Corbyn sought to seek a debate about the reform proposals and the U.K Puppet media hardly mentioned them.

May is a disaster waiting for an economic train wreck. Nigel Farage who was interviewed on the 6.00 p.m News has nothing to congratulate himself about. Where is your economic plan Nigel Farage and yours Boris Johnson?

The U.K today is alone. It now has no friends or influence in Europe. America will look to France and the European Army will one day replace NATO or at least equal it and we wil not have a say in any of it.

May is a civil servant not a Prime Minster. The People of the U.K need leadership not selfish ambition. Today the U.K truly became an Island; alone and adrift.

Why haven't there been any leading British politicians willing to take a strong stand against Brexit?
