Not wanting to see American bodies bloodied and dying as they are shot by a person who follows the orders of ISIS or Al Qaeda to kill U.S citizens Muslim or Christian would be his principal justification.
Also carrying out the election promises he made.
He has carried out an action that has focused the World on the need to stop terrorism.
Are we all to spend the rest of our lives wondering if the plane or train we are on or about to board will be our transport to death rather than our planned destination?
The cost is also escalating. It is tax money that could be spent on schools and hospitals.
I do not agree with the way the Order was put into Law without first taking into account the consequences for stranded travelers. But it was obviously done quickly to stop would be terrorists entering the country before a ban was imposed.
There is the provision in Trump’s order for the immigration of persons otherwise so banned who can be admitted in the National Interest – which seems to have been overlooked in the media frenzy.
However there is a lot more to stopping terrorism than just imposing a travel ban. The killing of innocent civilians in the Middle East, who are mostly Muslim, has to stop.
The West, Russia and their associated Governments and militia have killed more innocent civilians than ISIS and Al Qaeda put together.
Over one million five hundred civilians and troops have died in Afghanistan since 1979.
Donald Trump must know that there are Americans already in the U,S who will carry out ‘Lone Wolf’ attacks. Which is why I do not understand why he continues to ignore my alternatives to the current Counter Terrorism techniques.
The only way to stop Terrorism is by ensuring that all Laws are applied equally to all – no matter who they are. We must also ensure a unified legal response is applied to all conflicts in the Middle East.
