My answer to What do you wish that you hadn't found out?
Answer by Desmond Last:
I wish I had never found out the lengths that Governments and the Establishment will go to in order to ensure the truth is not revealed as to the extent of their corruption.
Why? All my life I have lived by Principle and the obligation of Duty to my principles and those of Public Office. It is a huge disappointment to me that those who seek to impose the law upon us are so easily able to set it aside.
I used to be a U.K Department of Transport Vehicle Examiner – in fact at one point in time I was the youngest Vehicle Examiner in the U.K. I had a warrant which gave me the legal power to take immediately dangerous vehicles off the road. I used that power with care and consideration. At times I used it to save lives.
I was warned that ‘I would end up in the river in a concrete overcoat’. But I was never deterred from carrying out the duty of my office.
I once stopped the building of the M25 around London due to dangerous condition of construction vehicles being used on the Pubic Highway.
This despite being told by senior members of the Construction company I would be reported for being over-zealous. I rang my superior who was an ex-R.A.F Squadron leader who had flown in WW2. ‘Mr Last’, he roared. ‘Do your duty I will stand by you’. I did and took over 30 ~ trucks off the road. The next morning I had over 100~ truck's queued up waiting for my inspection – all legal.
Public Duty to me was an honor and a privilege – and remains so.
Those who we entrust with the responsibility and the execution of the law have not done the same. Aleppo is an example to the whole world of Governments not acting in the best interests of the People.
I am now to all intents and purposes fighting a U.K Goverment and a U.K Media who will not support my efforts for World Peace. I have new ideas and a new Philosophy of the ‘Word of God’ for dealing with suicide bombers.
The U.K Media will not report me or my new ideas and the U.K Government will not acknowledge my new ideas. Ideas they do not have and which will save and improve lives.
For 9 years I have been writing to improve the World. Not one member of Government or any Journalist has ever asked me to expand on my new ideas.
That is what I have found out. I wish I hadn't. Because it proves that the Establishment will put themselves before the legal duty they have to improve the lives of the People who have entrusted them with the responsibility of doing so.
