What would happen if I went 10,000 years into the future?

My answer to What would happen if I went 10,000 years into the future?

Answer by Desmond Last:

You would walk into an open space. There you would find sitting talking quietly to themselves several groups of children. Some would have a look of genuine puzzlement on their faces. Others have tears just visible at the edge of their eyes. All around them is the horror. It engulfs their senses. The sheer pointlessness of it all overwhelms minds that only know Peace and respect.

The adult whose lifetime time phase is to enjoy the pleasure of ensuring that young minds are free to develop imagination and new flows of thought, adds sound to the surrounding displayed visualization. The screams of frightened children fill the air.

He turns to them. He too is struggling for reason. The Guardians of the Galaxy only allow this one short glimpse into Hell for each of the Citizens of the Universe.

The philosopher tutor has the difficult task of explaining to his attentive group why it was that in 2016 the people of Planet Earth would let their leaders allow the children of Aleppo in Syria to die in such cruel circumstances.

As you watch you feel 20 pairs of eyes staring at you. Accusing you, wondering why you would let it happen.

You are on trial. The people of the year 12016 have used the parallel of mind travel to bring you to the Galaxy Court of Justice. You are on trial for the death of mankind.

You are the one called Apathy. You represent the 7 billion people of Planet Earth who have let the children of Aleppo die.

You can never escape the past. Not even in 10,000 years time.

What would happen if I went 10,000 years into the future?
