What is Hillary Clinton’s plan to deal with ISIS?

My answer to What is Hillary Clinton’s plan to deal with ISIS?

Answer by Desmond Last:

Hillary Clinton States she will Intensify the coalition air campaign against ISIS fighters, leaders, and infrastructure; I say Bombing campaigns have never been successful on their own. Vietnam and Afghanistan are two examples. Civilians are killed which leads to increased terrorist support.

Hillary Clinton states she will step up support for local Arab and Kurdish forces on the ground and coalition efforts to protect civilians; I say this leads to more conflcit in the area, particularly for Turkey a NATO ally, as we provide more arms and money to armed groups. As Iraq has shown this leaves a deadly legacy.

Hillary Clinton states she will pursue a diplomatic strategy aimed at resolving Syria’s civil war and Iraq’s sectarian conflict between Sunnis and Shias—both of which have contributed to the rise of ISIS. I say with whom? Both sides in the war in Syria have knowingly killed Civilians. We have to let the people of Syria choose new leaders. Why is John Kerry conducting negotiation with the two sides who have killed 300,000 Civilians?

ISIS are a cause. To defeat the cause we will need a pen not a bullet. A new philosophy to counter that of ISIS. I have outlined the reasons for this on my website.

We need a new approach to Syria. It must be legal and not take sides. I have written a summary on my website of the reform of the United Nations that would provide a more responsive framework for conflict resolution. www.showempathy.one
