My answer to While I do not like Donald Trump at all, does anyone else think many people's EXTREME reaction to Trum…
Answer by Desmond Last:
I agree with the statement in your question. I replied to a question on Donald Trump and a commentator compared him to Hitler.
Those who insult him and his views are doing exactly what it is they so object to.
He said build a wall. But he is not able to do that unless he gets the democratic mandate from the people. I would promote economic co-operation of border zones linked to performance criteria.
I have been to Laredo New Mexico and seen the potential for Economic Zones for both Mexico and the U.S.
Illegal immigration is just that illegal. It drives down wages, it allows sexual exploitation and child trafficking. Why would you not want to stop it?
Those who object to the way Donald Trump blamed the Mexicans for crime and drug smuggling, seem to ignore the the fact that Mexican drug cartels and their Colombian suppliers generate, launder and remove $18 billion to $39 billion from the United States each year see. He should have made that qualification but he is not a Politician.
So if it wrong to blame Mexicans who should he blame? The only others to blame are the rich Americans who also are part of the cartels who bring in the drugs. Trump has made it a National Debate. Perhaps it was well-overdue.
Islam. He is right. A small minority of Muslim blow people up. Something needs to be done. Again he was wrong to say keep them out but he is right to say – How do we stop terrorism.
If I were an American I would walk right up to Donald Trump and say ‘ I have a way of reducing terrorism’. Unlike Cameron and Clinton He would listen.
He knows the problems and he wants solutions. America should welcome the debate and engage him in discussion and debate not ridicule and insult him.
